Making Connections
Magic Place exhibitions provide the perfect opportunity to connect audiences with your collection by re-presenting objects in new and exciting ways.
How does it work?
The artwork is made up of numerous scenes, each composed of digital backgrounds, sets, and props. This structure allows us to easily introduce new elements. We can work with you to select objects to incorporate into your Magic Place. Depending on feasibility, we will visit your venue to document these items or you can provide us with photographs and video.
An example: Magic Place at the Amelia Scott Museum

This was our second exhibition at The Amelia Scott and it provided us with another opportunity to dive into the museum's remarkable collection including local, social and natural history objects, archaeology and fine and decorative art works.
We used characters by the wonderful local tailor George Smart (1774-1846); animated toys including a doll's house, a Victorian toy car and Felix the cat; included footballers from Subbuteo (which was invented in Tunbridge Wells); a landscape of ancient rocks from the area including Toad Rock (classified as a national monument) and bobble heads of antique teddy bears, a stuffed platypus, and Minnie the museum's beloved Lu Lu Terrier.

“The artists have playfully incorporated objects from The Amelia’s collection, while we, in turn, have filled the large Welcome Hall case with music-related items inspired by the Magic Place soundscape and projections. This reciprocal activity creates a unique approach to visitor engagement and access to Museum Collections—creating fun immersive interactions that bridge cognitive and physical spaces.”
